There’s a point in every implementation where someone asks,
“How do we make this feel like a real brand experience?”

It’s usually after the login works, the cart calculates, the orders flow.
Everything functions. But it still feels… transactional.

That’s the gap we built Saltbox Advanced to close.

Where this started

After building dozens of storefronts with Commerce Cloud and OMS, we noticed a pattern—especially with B2B companies trying to deliver more D2C-like experiences.

The back end would be rock solid, but the front end didn’t quite match. It lacked the polish, interactivity, and buyer-centered experience people now expect—whether they’re shopping for a T-shirt or a tractor.

We kept building custom solutions to fill that gap.
Then we realized: maybe that work shouldn’t be custom.
Maybe this is the new baseline.

That’s when Saltbox Advanced was born.

What it is

Saltbox Advanced is our most experience-forward accelerator. It includes everything in Ignition, Throttle, and Spark—and then builds on it with a curated set of components designed to elevate the buyer journey from browse to reorder.

This is where product storytelling, self-service, and branded interactions finally meet operational excellence.

What we built (and why)

We didn’t set out to build a kitchen-sink feature list. Each piece of Saltbox Advanced was created to solve for one of these recurring needs:

“This looks too plain.”
Rich product content, image stacking, variation selectors, CMS-powered visuals

“Can we make this feel more modern?”
Auto-playing video banners, scrollable category blocks, responsive layouts

“Marketing wants more touchpoints.”
Dynamic promotions, triggered Marketing Cloud emails, personalized offers

“Customers want to manage their own returns.”
Integrated RMA flows tied to OMS + Service Cloud, full case handling

We built all of this for one reason: to make the digital buying experience just as seamless and intentional as the technology that supports it.
